1/8/25 Hi everyone, it’s Cresant checking in again!
I’m still here, full of hope and eagerly waiting for my forever home! In the meantime, I keep myself busy by showering my foster mom with all the love and affection I can give. I might be a little shy around new people at first, but once I get to know you, I promise to be your best friend! Just ask my foster mom; she’ll tell you all about it!
I love playing with my foster brother. We run around the yard, sniffing out every little scent, and discovering hidden treasures. I’d really like a playmate in my forever home! Also, despite my initial shyness, I’ve worked up the courage to befriend the resident cat too. I love to give him gentle kisses while he rubs against me.
As much as I love the backyard, walking in the neighborhood still presents some challenges for me. There are these intimidating metal rings with nets on tall poles that I just cannot bring myself to walk past. And when it comes to cars, well, let’s just say they are a definite source of anxiety for me. I see how excited my foster brother gets when Foster Mom says, “let’s go for a ride,” but I haven’t quite come around to that idea yet. Car rides feel overwhelming, and I’m still trying to understand why they’re such a fun adventure for others.
My foster mom reassures me that it’s my capacity to love that shines through the most. She often says that she has never met a dog as affectionate as I am, and that must mean something special. I will need a patient adopter and possibly more than one meeting to help me feel comfortable with you, but if you choose to take a chance on me, I promise you won’t regret it. I will fill your life with love, loyalty, and moments of pure happiness. A little patience and understanding will go a long way as we navigate this journey together. I’m ready to find my forever family and share my heart with you!
12/4/24 Hi everyone, it’s Cresant.
Foster Mom says it’s finally time. For what you ask? Time for me to find my familyI have relaxed a bit so I can now tell you all about myself to see if you want to meet me.
I was born last summer so I am around 15 months old. And Foster Mom says I am finally starting to act like it. I haven’t figured out what to do with toys yet but clothes that I find on the floor sure can be fun! I like chasing the ball outside too. I like the chasing part but once I get it it’s mine. It took a while but now my foster brother and I run all over together and do a bit of wrestling. He’s real gentle with me and that’s how I like it. No crazy all out wrestle-mania for me. I live with a couple cats also. They are very interesting. I have started to introduce myself, but they don’t seem too interested. So, I mostly just watch them.
Since I grew up outside, I am still a bit nervous with a lot of things. I really enjoy hanging out in my crate when I get a little scared. But Foster Mom can always coax me out, I just love her so much. I also sleep in there all night right next to Foster Mom’s bed. I feel better having her close by.
We are working on the car now. That is still really scary. But since I see how much my foster brother and sister like it, I’m trying really hard to like it too. It takes me a while to warm up to new people so it might take some time to show you my real personality. But if you are patient you won’t be disappointed!
10/31/24 Cresant arrived about 1 week ago and has made great progress. When we first met, I had to drag her out of the crate she was so scared. Now she follows me everywhere! She is the sweetest dog with very soulful eyes. She wants nothing more than to be right next to you, lifting her head while gazing right into your eyes and offering sweet kisses. She is slowly coming out of her shell and getting used to being in the house.
She hasn't played with my dogs yet, but she isn't afraid of them. She notices the cats but mostly ignores them. Being on the leash is still pretty scary so we are taking it very slow. She goes potty outside and has had no accidents in the house. She goes willingly into the crate and sleeps all night. She is starting to relax outside and has even started running. She even grabbed a ball once but was scared away by my dog who took it as an invitation to play.
