Hello labbie lovers!!

My name is Halle (pronounced Hal-ee) and I am a three year old girl who is looking for her forever home. I came into LEARN because my previous owners said I was too spunky and could not settle down to their energy level (a.k.a. couch potato). What can I say...I am three years old!! If you are looking for a couch potato, I would suggest buying a potato and putting it on your couch. That is not me. My foster family does say that when it is time to settle down, I will lay by your feet while you chill. But if you get up, say to get a snack, I will be right there with you...looking all hungry. You see, that is a weakness humans have...and I can turn on the puppy dog eyes to get what I want. Will you have the strength to overcome my cuteness??

(BTW...I LOVE belly rubs!!)

My excitement when I see my people can get jumpy...but we are working on not jumping up. I do walk great on a leash...provided that you are the alpha and do not let me get away with pulling you or chasing these small things called squirrels. I also want to meet every dog that passes by (even if they are across the street), so you will have to make sure I do not forcefully pull on my leash. I like to retrieve anything you throw and I have been taught to "drop" on command. Of course, like any young dog, I may not do it every time.

I would work best with another dog...then I have another companion to play with when I wear you out. My foster brother loves to play with me either outside in the fenced yard or in the house when we are out of our kennel. I was introduced to this thing called a "Kong" that is filled with peanut butter...and let me tell you...I LOVED IT!! My foster parents give it to me when I go in my kennel for a treat to enjoy while they are gone. It is better when it the peanut butter is frozen, so it lasts longer.

Well...enough about me...how about you? Do I seem like a good fit for your family? If so, please make sure you have the adoption application filled out and the home visit approved before letting LEARN know you would like to meet me. It is definitely a process to meet me, but it is well worth it.
