Update 1/22/17: Well it's been two weeks since we got foster dog Fargo, and I'm happy to say he's doing great!
House training is great, and he's comfortable with visitors. We have been going to the park, and he has been introduced to people and is doing very, very well. It's just a matter of time before his shyness is behind him.
Fargo is walking well on a leash, loves to retrieve a ball and play fetch, rides well in a car, plays with toys and gets along fine with other dogs. We still kennel him at night and when we leave the house. He goes into the kennel willingly (with a small bribe) and settles nicely. He loves to snuggle and thinks being 52 pound lap dog is just fine. Hopefully Fargo will be available for adoption in a few weeks. He will be a great addition to some family.
A fenced in yard is best for Fargo.

My name is Fargo, and I am about 2 years old. I came into rescue as part of Peanut's Holiday of Hope. I've already been to the Vet and am now being treated for worms and Lyme's disease. While I recover from these things I am also going to be learning to be a dog. . . . I've lived outside my whole life with other dogs, not much shelter and very little food. So I am not ready to be adopted yet, but I wanted you to know I was here.
