10/10/2025 Hi everyone! My name is Mika, your soon-to-be favorite 9-year-old gal! 

I’ve been settling in beautifully at my foster home. Potty training is going great—just a couple of little accidents the first few days while I was figuring things out.

I’m friendly with people of all sizes! I don’t jump or bark for attention. I’m not exactly a lap dog, but if I see another pup getting cuddles, I’ll happily curl up right next to you.

I get along great with other dogs and love to play and wrestle if they’re up for it! I’ll be having TPLO surgery soon to fix my leg, so I’m taking it a little easy for now. My foster sister isn’t much for roughhousing, and I totally respect her space.

I walk nicely on a leash with a harness. I know sit, down, and come. I might try to sneak out an open door, but if you tell me to stay, I listen like a good girl.

I’ve had full run of the house with my doggie sister and haven’t caused any trouble. I stay off the furniture—at least when someone’s watching, haha!

I’m a great car rider too. I might bark a little when you leave, but I quiet down quickly—and I love riding shotgun when I can.

Rain makes me a little nervous, but otherwise I’m pretty chill with noises and new things. I’m also super easy for nail trims, ear cleaning, and grooming.

For a 9-year-old, I’ve still got great energy! I love tug, fetch, and brisk walks. My leg slows me down a bit, but my meds help keep me comfortable and happy.

My TPLO surgery is coming up soon, and it’s a big expense for the rescue. If you’d like to help me heal and get back to my best zoomies, please consider donating toward my surgery costs. Every bit helps!
