Hey, everyone!

I’m Sadie, and I’m super excited to meet you all! Some folks say I’m 9 years old, but honestly, I feel much younger! I’ve got all my shiny, black fur and no gray hairs in sight – just a happy pup ready for fun!

I've had a bit of a bumpy ride in the past with some homes that didn’t treat me quite right, but now I’m in a great place! My current family loves me to bits and keeps my belly nice and full. I’ve even gained a little healthy weight – who can resist those tasty treats?

I absolutely love being around people! I might bark a bit at first, but that's just my way of saying hi and checking you out. Once I get to know you, I’m all about the pets, snuggles, and affection! Meeting new dog friends can be a little tricky for me, and I might bark again, but I promise I only need a gentle, slow introduction.

When it comes to walks, I’m a good leash walker, although I’m still figuring out how to keep my barks in check when I see another dog. And car rides?  I get a little nervous sometimes, but I’m ready to hit the road whenever you are.  

I’m a pretty neat and tidy housemate! Although, if you leave me alone and I start to feel anxious, I might look for something to chew on just to get your attention. But don't worry, I’m working on it with a little help from my anxiety pill! 

Now, here’s something important – I have a big surgery coming up next week called TPLO, and I’ll need to take it easy for 10 to 12 weeks while I recover. If you’re feeling generous and want to help out with the costs, I would be so thankful!
