9/10/15 Roscoe went to the University of Wisconsin yesterday. The surgeon stated that Roscoe has arthritis in his elbows, and there is no cure for it. Surgery comes with many possible complications because Roscoe's elbows are weight-bearing. The Vets want to be conservative with future treatments we will continue with his current supplements and swim therapy.
Roscoe is looking for his forever family. He is a special dog and deserves the best. He loves children and doesn't jump on them. Please email LEARN if you're interested in meeting this sweet boy.

8/19/15 Roscoe will be going to the University of Wisconsin in September for a second opinion but is available to be adopted at this time. The 2 supplements he takes cost approximately $2.00 a day. Water therapy has helped tremendously so we are looking for a family that will continue taking him swimming. If it is determined that surgery is the best course of action LEARN will pay to have it done. Roscoe loves to be with you and will become your magnet. He has free roam in my house and has not done anything. His favorite toy is the tennis ball or a good bone. He is good with adults, children and other animals. If you would like to meet Roscoe, please email LEARN.

7/28/15 Roscoe is approximately 5 years old and has elbow dysplasia, which the surgeon thinks he was born with. He uses his back legs to run or walk fast, and they are solid muscle. He is in pain, will not run or chase the ball for very long, and walks are short. LEARN has taken him to a surgeon who recommends surgically removing any fragments in his elbow, receiving a PRP injection, and taking supplements for the rest of his life.
Roscoe has started to take the supplements and attend water therapy, which are greatly helping him. The surgery will cost LEARN several thousands of dollars but may help his quality of life. Roscoe is one of the sweetest dogs that I have fostered. He loves everyone and all animals.
Can you please help LEARN pay for his surgery so he can live a more normal life in less pain by sponsoring him?
Thank you. :-)
Roscoe’s foster mom.

6/23/15 I would like to introduce Roscoe. He is approximately 5 years old and came from Fulton County. Roscoe has a very strange walk. He walks bull-legged and very stiff. I don’t know if it's a birth defect or if something happened to him. He doesn't seem to be in pain; you can rub him everywhere. So we'll see what the Vet has to say.
Roscoe is very sweet and loves to play with a ball. We have not gone for a walk because I want to see what the Vet says about his legs, but I think swimming would be very helpful to him.

If you think you would be interested in meeting/adopting Roscoe please fill out an adoption application and have a home visit first. – If you’you have already done those things and are on the approved adopter’s list feel free to email L.E.A.R.N. once he is available for adoption and let us know you would like to be on Roscoe’s potential family list.
