5/26/15 Bogart is a SMART little guy...he already knows sit and down...has a keen sense of smell, and is going to be a pistol. I also think he will be more of a typical "Lab" size. He's going to need someone who "gets" the breed. I also think he could be a hunter, with that nose of his.

Bogart is in foster with Spencer. We have just started to work on potty training. Because of the parvo, I wasn't allowing either of the boys on the grass until they tested negative.

They are both VERY treat motivated, so training should be pretty easy.

5/13/15 I talked yesterday with the ER doc who treated Bogart, and the boys got the "all clear" to play together. She believes that since the boys were together before they were surrendered that Spencer was exposed to Parvo and if he was going to get it, he would have already. In her words..."Those Chaps survived for a reason. They are fighters."

I'm still containing them to areas that I can easily clean with bleach, and they are in separate crates at night and when I'm not watching them.

They are both doing GREAT! Eating well, putting on weight, and we are even working on "sit" with Bogart...He goes to the Vet next week for his first round of puppy shots. Spencer will go about 2 weeks later. If all goes well, I would expect them to be ready for adoption by the middle of June.

5/6/15 Both pups are doing well now. Eating like little piggies. Bogart already knew how to use a water dish. Bogart's stools are firming up. The hardest part is keeping Bogart separated due to the Parvo, cause he wants to play.

And for your viewing pleasure...Bogart is on the pink towel, and Spencer is on the cream towel. Both in "jail," and hating it.

The other picture is the set up. I had my husband make a raised bench to put in the crates so they had a sleeping area. I put a puppy pad and shredded paper down, and the boys are already figuring out to go on that and not their bed.

5/4/15 Introducing Spencer and Bogart, both yellow male puppies – neither are ready for adoption yet and won't be for at least a month for Spencer and probably 2 months for Bogart. Both puppies are owner-surrendered.

Bogart is 6 weeks old but tested a weak positive for Parvo. He's already spent a night at the Vet clinic getting medical care and will stay in isolation at his foster home until he is cleared.
