Lover Boy and Mouser looking for forever home. Spike here! I'm a yellow Lab mix - my foster mom says with probably some kind of Terrier, Jack Russell maybe? I'm around one year old and weigh in around 40 lbs. I don't suspect I'll get much bigger. I live with my foster mom and her dog, a chocolate Lab who is 10 months old. We pretty much party like rock stars whenever we can. We like to WWF wrestle, go to the dog park, and go for walks. I like some exercise each day to get out and stretch my legs. I'm also also quite fond of cuddling with my foster mom. I usually hang out on one end of the couch and she the other, but when I'm really tired and her lap is free, I like to rest my head there so she will pet me. I even let her hold me like a baby if she rubs my belly. My foster mom initially thought I wasn't housebroken but no accidents in two weeks! She thinks a combination of the new environment and her not reading my signs were why I had a couple accidents. Yeah for me!! I kennel while my foster mom is at work. She gives me a treat, and in I go! I got to sleep on the real bed one night but the next two nights my foster brother and I wanted to do a little late night partying that Mom didn't appreciate so I have to kennel again at night. Eh, never hurts to try; ya win some, ya lose some. I didn't appear to have any obedience so I've been working on sit and wait while I get my meals. At the dog park we work on wait before I get out of the truck and before I enter the park. My foster mom says I'm pretty smart, and she likes how quickly I catch on...like the time with the field mouse. He lives under the downspout drain. She found him one day while mowing. She called me over to see him, and I haven't forgotten where he lives. I like to hang out there and see if I can catch him. So far, no go, but I have succeeded in getting my foster mom to scream and run when I scare him out of his spot. I came from the shelter with mange, but my medicine is clearing it up nicely. It feels good not to itch, scratch, and be uncomfortable.
