Hello, my name is Wylee, and I am about 1 year old.  I am very affectionate and love to play.  I was a stray and spent a little time in a shelter until LEARN rescued me.  The shelter called me John, but it did not really fit so my fosters named me Wylee.

I was pretty thin when they took me in but have been eating well and look great now.  I have a great foster home with a 9.5 year old dog who doesn't like to play much.  So I would love to have a home with kids or another younger dog to play with.  My foster family had a lot of guests over recently, and I got to play with a 5 year old and was good with him.  I do get excited when people come over and like to jump on them, but I am working on not doing that.  I am housebroken for the most part with just the occasional accident.  I am crate-trained and really don't mind being in there when my foster family is away for a while.  I learned 'sit' and am starting on 'down' and 'stay.'  My foster home has a fenced yard, and I have not tried to jump over the fence.  I love to play with a Frisbee, chase balls and fetch.  I also like to chew on bones and sometimes almost fall asleep with it.

UPDATE 8-26-14   -  I have the great opportunity of getting some formal training and will want to complete the training before I can be adopted.  It will be about 6 weeks.  I am anxious to find my forever home, and this training will only make me a better companion.  Please check back for my availability. 

UPDATE 10-1-14 - I have been going to classes and learning a lot.  I know many commands and am still learning (especially stay and heel).  I am also working on breaking a couple of bad habits.  I will be available for adoption very soon.  If you would like to meet me, please complete the adoption application and set up a home visit.  Thank you for checking back with me.
