Update for me! I love my people and am very mellow in the house. I have bursts of energy outside and love my toys and playing with my people. I live with another dog but am indifferent to him. I cannot be in a home with cats or small animals because of my prey drive. I went to TOPS in Grayslake, IL for evaluation because of my super nose and prey drive, and they said I am fast learner and did a great job. I do have to work on my greetings with other dogs as I get my hackles up when I initially meet them. I would do well in a home with older kids, no little ones though!
Hi everyone! I'm Kane…named after the great Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks. My foster mom named me Kane, because I'm small but mighty.
I'm 4 years old and was rescued from Chicago Animal Control just in time. The people at L.E.A.R.N. don't think I've had that great of a life. Someone cut rectangles into my ears, and my right front paw was broken and never cared for. So it's crooked, but that doesn't stop me from running and playing.
I also have Heartworm. (I've completed one treatment since being in my foster home.) My foster mom says that despite all of this I love people and want to be with them. I'm also good with other dogs but no cats please because I have a high prey drive…probably from living on the streets of Chicago.
If you're looking for a forever friend, I'm your guy. I will follow you wherever you go. Ask to see me, Kane.
