My name is Checkers (yeah, you read right) and I am a 3 year old black lab who is looking for my forever home. I came into LEARN when my family was moving and could not take me along. So now I am in this thing called, “foster care” and living life because I have a foster brother and sister to play with me!!
I have a blocky-like head that the vet’s office says, “looks great”…I guess that means I look handsome. I am kennel and potty trained and walk great on a leash. I don’t bother the cats at all and love going in my kennel to relax…in fact I am in my kennel now while I am typing this bio. I am looking for a home that will appreciate me and all my quirkiness. Hold on because I have to go outside and do my business (editor’s note…while Checkers was outside, his foster dad wrote this…”Checkers loves to jump up on the kitchen counter and table to grab anything he can. He also likes to relocate shoes. He does not chew on them; just move them around the house.”)
Okay…I am back J let’s see…anything else about me??? I do like to carry around toys in my mouth and de-stuff them to get to the squeaker. They are so much fun to play with!! I am on the skinny side right now, but my foster parents are working hard to put some weight on me…extra treats and more food is my current diet.
