Marley here, and I am just sweet lil’ bit of sunshine! My family had a baby and felt that they weren’t taking proper care of me because they were pooped. So, they brought me back to L.E.A.R.N. to find a good home that can give me the exercise and love I need to thrive.
Weighing in at only 47 lbs. at 4 years of age I am the petite girl for you. When I was little someone thought I had some Weimerwiener in me along with Lab, so they docked my tail; but the vet seemed to think it was more of a Pointer mix. I love to play and am willing to play tug-o-war with you, however I will settle down when you tell me "enough". I don’t bark much and will happily snuggle with you. I will do roll-over rubs on the carpet and entertain you with my goofiness.
I haven’t had the opportunity to play with other dogs, so stay tuned for information on that. I haven’t been around cats as far as my foster parents know, so there isn’t any information there either. I have been around teenagers and babies and have behaved myself well. I also went into the tub without a fuss as well as the crate. I ride well in the car too.
I’m house-broken, know sit, stay, come, and down. My foster parents have found that I love to run, just to race everywhere. Once that is done, I am pooped and will konk out. My foster parents have also found that when we are out for a walk and I am let off leash that I will run in happiness, but if they give me a minute to get the initial burst out I come when I am called but will run some more if they let me. When I am happy to see you, I have a tendency to jump but we are working on that as it isn’t considered polite.
