10/18/2025 Hello everyone! Poppy here!
I’ve only been in Wisconsin for less than a week, but I’m already settling in so well at my foster home! I have a wonderful foster mom who takes great care of me and gives me tons of belly rubs (my absolute favorite!) and treats. I even have a foster sister who looks just like me. Mom keeps mixing us up!
When I get a little anxious or excited, belly rubs and pets really help me calm down. I go on a few shorter walks each day, which is perfect for me because my little legs get tired quickly, but that just means more time for cozy naps afterward!
I LOVE car rides and try to jump in all by myself (even if my legs can’t quite get me there). Luckily, Mom gives me a little boost and off we go! I’m not super into toys, but I do love lounging around, taking walks, and cuddling with my human. Mom says I’m a great walker on leash. I don’t pull much unless there’s something that smells really interesting.
A fenced yard would be amazing because I love to sniff around… and if there’s a squirrel, well, I will have to chase it! I’m housebroken and crate trained, and I sleep soundly in my crate at night and during the day.
Even though I’m around 8–9 years old, I still get the zoomies now and then with quick little bursts around the living room before I flop down to recover! I also went to the groomer recently and was such a good girl. I wasn’t a fan of the blow dryer, but I sure enjoyed my bath and looked beautiful afterward!
I can’t wait to find my forever family. Someone who loves belly rubs, walks, and snuggles as much as I do! Other Pictures of Poppy (click to see larger version):
