Sweet Bear (Bear Bear as he is affectionately known by his foster mom) is one of the breeder dogs who has been learning how to live his best life in a home over the last month! He's the happiest, sweetest boy who has a tail wag for everyone and everyone he meets! A few weeks ago, he started to have difficulty with his right eye. The vet has determined that he has a mass under his 3rd eyelid that needs to be removed. We're hoping that it's something benign, and not cancerous, but we won't know until it can be removed and tested.
As you can imagine, this is a costly procedure and needs to be done as soon as possible. We want nothing more than for Bear Bear to have the best life, most comfortable life he can. Please consider donating to help us cover the cost of this procedure and to get Bear back to a healthy, happy boy!
11/12/2024- Hi again! Just checking in to let you all know that I'm adjusting super well to life in a home! A bunch of kids came to visit the other day and I was so excited to see them! I got a little scared when they were running around the house but only because quick movements still startle me. I'm a big guy though, so even though I love kids of all ages, I might accidentally knock over the smaller ones. I'm still not willing to try the stairs to go upstairs but foster mom says that's ok- maybe there's a home for me out there that doesn't have a lot of stairs. Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm getting neutered today! I don't know what that means but foster mom gave me lots of love when she dropped me off with the nice vet lady (I even wagged my tail the whole time in there). I can't wait to meet my forever family! Hi, I'm Bear! I'm 7 and 1/2 years old and 86lbs of wiggling happiness! I'm one of the breeder release and I'm adjusting really well to living in a home and learning so much from my foster sisters- like how fun toys can be and how comfy those beds are! I'm a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to meet new people and pups! I'm learning how to walk on a leash but I don't pull and I'm also really good at going potty outside! I do get a bit scared by sudden movements or loud noises but I'm learning not everything is scary. Stairs are my biggest challenge right now but foster mom says we'll master them one of these days. I don't love going in my crate but that's only because I like to be near everyone. I'm not at all destructive but I may take a peek at what's on the counter, I am a tall guy after all. ;) If you're looking for a chill pup who is happy snoozing at your feet, getting belly or ear rubs, or going for a casual sniff around the neighborhood, I'm your guy!
