Hi everyone!  My name is Satin (SAT-TIN) and I’m very new to L.E.A.R.N.  I’ve only been living with my foster family for 6 days.

My dad had to move into assisted living and he couldn’t take me with him.  He loves me very much and wants me to find a family who will love me and take care of me for the rest of my life.  My human brother heard about L.E.A.R.N. and trusts them to find that special family for me.

My foster mom says I’m a sweetheart!  It only took me 2 days to settle in. I’m a mellow and quiet girl.  I don’t need a crate because I don’t get into anything that I’m not supposed to, even when I’m home alone.  At night I sleep on a dog bed in the bedroom.  Sometimes the other dog that lives here likes to sleep next to me and that’s fine with me!  During the day I like to lay on one of the rugs or dog beds close to my foster parents.

I like going outside to walk around and play with the tennis ball! My human brother told L.E.A.R.N. that I shouldn’t be left outside by myself, even if the yard is fenced in.  I like to walk the perimeter and look for any opening so I can go for a short run and explore! Did I tell you that I LOVE the tennis ball!  I could play fetch forever but they only throw it a few times because the vet said I have arthritis in my hips and knees.  I get a little stiff if I run too much. That’s why I take a hip and joint supplement everyday. It’s good for me to walk and swimming would be good for me too.

I know my basic commands and I’m working on my leash manners.  I love toys but I guess I’ve been known to tear them apart!  But so far I haven’t done that in my foster home!  I love attention and belly rubs!

I was very good at the vet. She said I’m a healthy and sweet girl!  I have 3 lumps that she checked and she said they are fatty labby lumps.

Check out my video and pictures!  If you are looking for a sweet senior girl and would like to meet me or just find out more about me, and have already been approved, please send an email to labmatch@labadoption.org.  If you haven’t been approved yet, please fill out an application.
