6/7/20 Update

Hello, Livi checking in! I have been enjoying my time with my foster family, but I'm ready to find my forever family! Could it be you?

I am a pretty awesome girl! I am sweet & gentle, especially with my tiny human foster brother -- he is only 2.5 years old. I like to give him kisses, but I'm not mouthy or jumpy with him. My foster family doesn't have any other dogs right now, but I went on a "playdate" with my foster mom's friend and her 3 dogs. I did very well! I was very submissive and a little scared initially, but after a short time, I tried to play. One of the dogs is an older lady and I was very respectful of her -- when she grumbled at me, I backed off and did not bother her. I'm not super high energy or rough & tumble in my play, but I don't seem overly annoyed by other dogs who are.

I sleep in my crate at night with no problems. I don't make any noise and I only get up when my foster mom does. I know to do my potty business outside, thank you very much.

I like all people that I have met, especially the tiny ones! My foster family does have a couple of those pesky felines here. I am not very fond of them. Sorry, all you cool cats & kittens! I don't think I should go to a home with kitties.

Some of my favorite things are: sleeping on the couch next to you -- do you enjoy Netflix marathons? I am your girl! Playing with the garden hose when it shoots out water, I try my hardest to catch it! Stealing slippers and shoes...I confess, I have a foot fetish. I don't chew them right away, but if you don't notice I have one, I will probably nibble on it. Eating, of course! I love food!

I have gone on several walks with my foster family. I need a little encouragement to get me going, but once I start walking, I am excellent on leash with no pulling. Though my preference would probably be to sunbathe in the yard with a little rolling around in the grass here & there and maybe a couple zoomie laps.

If you are looking for a sweet, low-key girl that will love your tiny humans, ask about me!

6/14/2020 New Intake
Hello Everyone! Meet Livi!
I just made a long journey from Texas with my siblings and am getting settled in with this nice family that is taking care of me until I can find my forever home.

I think this lady is pretty nice and she thinks I'm pretty great too! So far, I have been a very good girl. I am a little whiny here & there, but this is the first time I have been away from my siblings and family and this is all new to me. I am very excited about food, but I am not aggressive about it and take treats gently. I need to put on some weight, so this is a win-win because I get lots of treats and food which makes me super happy!

I have nice energy and am not overly rambunctious or excitable. I like to be where my people are, but I mainly just lay down and chill on the ground. Sometimes I will even go in my crate to sleep all by myself or curl up on a dog bed. I am not so sure about being on a leash, but with some coaxing, I will go outside wearing one. I went on a little walk yesterday and did really well walking without pulling much. My foster mom thinks I prefer to go potty off leash, so I follow her out to the yard where she walks around with me and tells me to "go potty" until I do.

I will oblige playing fetch with a ball if you want to, but I am not ball obsessed. I take my time going after it and usually just amble or slowly trot, but I will bring it back and I easily give it up to you.

There is a small human that lives here and I like to give him kisses, but I overall am pretty gentle and have not jumped on him. I do fancy myself somewhat of a guard dog and will alert you if I see something outside, but my foster mom thinks I am all bluster & bluff because I am very sweet & gentle to anyone that comes to give me pets.

Last night I slept in a crate and after a couple minutes of whining, I settled in and started snoring. I slept through the night without a peep and didn't get up until my foster mom did.

I accidentally met one of my foster families' cats...I was very interested in him and gave him the ol' "you run, I'll chase." It's not clear yet whether I am too interested in kitties to live with one or I am just very excited to see another creature to possibly play with (no other dogs here for me to wrestle with).

I have been good with my foster mom, dad, and tiny human without showing any odd fears or quirks to men/women/kids. I also heard fireworks last night. I picked my head up briefly, listened, and then went back to sleep without any signs of being fearful or stressed by them.

More info to come as we learn more!
