Hi Everyone! My name is Chief!
Before coming to L.E.A.R.N. I lived in a home that had two teenagers and a smaller dog. Unfortunately, my family had to make a last minute move and could not take me with them.

When I got to my foster home, my foster parents said that my "hormones were raging", so I got “the big snip” yesterday 6/16 and we are all hoping I settle down some. You see I have trouble finding my "off button”, I seem to love my new foster brot her a bit too much. I nose him, lick him and don’t take cues when I’m being told he has had enough. I just want to keep playing!!! So foster mom is hoping this may just be hormone behavior as I can also be gentle and playful with my foster brother. My foster brother is trying to teach me to play tug and play bow, but I just haven't quite gotten it yet. But I will get there!

I would love a dog sibling in my forever home but they would need to have patience with me, I am still learning! I am quiet as a mouse, except for when you aren't giving me the attention I think I need, when I think I need it. I may bark or whine when you are trying to wind down for the evening, I still want to play! But with time, patience and a schedule I think I can overcome this.

Foster parents say I am a high energy lab that needs and wants to play. I have heard of agility and flyball, and I think I would like to try one of those! And I come from a breeder that has a long line of hunting dogs so maybe I would be good at hunting??? Would love to try that too!

I LOVE everything; food, dogs, cats, balls, walks, runs, dog parks, doggy daycare, kids, adults, the vet, etc. I am house broken and I don’t have any destructive or counter surfing behaviors. I know sit, do well on the leash, and I have good name recall. And I am beyond affectionate, I really love to snuggle up on my foster parents, I am so calm when getting tummy rubs and I will lay there forever.

I would enjoy going on long hikes or bike rides and I definitely want a forever home that likes to play ball and go to the dog park. Tomorrow is my 2nd Birthday, sure would love a furever home as a present. Do you think I could be the dog for you?
