Update 5/3:

Hello everyone! I'm still doing well at my foster home. My foster parents tried to introduce me to some other dogs this weekend to see how I would do, and unfortunately I was a little aggressive with both dogs. They say they are going to get me some training though to help me work on it and be better. I also met some little human friends, and I liked them a lot! In the meantime, I will continue to lay in the sun and enjoy my walks with this nice weather.

Update 4/23:

Hi! I'm back again! I'm doing very well. I'm relaxing even more than I was before. My foster parents now let me sleep next to their bed and I love being with them all the time. I let them lay on the ground and cuddle me, which I wasn't so sure about before. I've been doing so well on my walks with that harness thing and have gone a little further each day yay! I love sitting out on the balcony and enjoying the outdoors.

Update 4/16:

Hello everyone! I am doing so good! I am finally relaxing more in my foster home. I bark less at noises, people, and dogs that I hear or see out the window. I love chewing on my bone, kong toy, and playing with my tennis balls. My foster parents bought me this harness that I walk in now outside and it helps calm me down. They think maybe I walked in one before because of how good they say I am in it. My dandruff is resolving too so my coat is looking silky smooth, yay! I love to give my foster parents kisses all over, and I like it when they hold my paw it helps calm me down. Got to go!

Hello my name is Nikita! I am a six year old black lab, and I just got to my foster home a few days ago. I'm still getting used to a new home with new people, but I like them so far! I am a very happy dog and like to play but have to be a little more relaxed right now because I am being treated for heartworm. My foster parents are trying to teach me to behave a little better. I'm not sure if I know my name very well, but they seem to think I will catch on soon. I'm learning to sit, lay down, and come when told. I know how to let them know when I need to go outside to go to the bathroom. I'm not very good with other dogs yet they scare me and I bark at them a lot so my foster parents are trying to help me with that too. I love getting brushed and bathed. I sleep every night very nicely in my crate and wake up in the morning when my foster parents let me out. I love people and just want a home where I can play and be loved.
