Update 12-6-19

Hi everyone!!! Dez here! Just want to let you know that I’m still available for adoption. Foster mom says she can't believe no one has scooped me up yet! I get along with other dogs and still enjoy going to doggie daycare. I love going for walks and like playing in the yard. When I’m in the house, I like playing with the stuffed animals that I share with my foster sibling. I get along well with the kids who come to visit.

I haven’t had anymore trouble with allergies. The allergy symptoms that I had after I first came to live with my foster family might have been stress related. My foster mom calls me a love bug!

Please consider adopting me. I would love to find my forever home for the holidays!

Update 10-21-19

Hi everyone.  Just want to let you know how I’m doing.

I’m done with the allergy medication, and I feel much better!  My foster mom says that my training is coming along nicely.  I don’t need a crate anymore!  At night I sleep on a dog bed in my foster parents' bedroom.  When they are gone during the day, I get to hangout with the other dog who lives here.  I don’t get into any trouble.  

I’m a very affectionate and friendly boy!  Please consider adopting me.

Hi everyone!  I’m Dez, and I’m ready to find my forever family. I’m a 3 year old Lab mix with beautiful fox red hair. My foster mom says I’m a handsome boy!

I’ve been living with my foster family for a couple of weeks now.  So we’ve had some time to get to know each other. My previous owner surrendered me because I was a little nervous around my very active 2yr old human brother.  I lived with them my whole life and got along with my 5yr old human sister.  They thought I would be happier with a family that didn’t have small active children.

I love going for walks.  Sometimes I pull on the leash, but most of the time I walk nicely.  I might even bring you my leash when I want to go for a walk!  I like going to doggie daycare where I get to play all day!  I have a favorite stuffed toy (a red fox) that I like to play with in the house.  Outside I like to chase the ball with the other dog who lives here and play tug of war with her.  I like to be by you and snuggle, but I’m not a velcro dog  

My foster parents tell me that I need a little more training.  I know how to sit,and I’m working on down, off and stay. I’ve been known to counter surf a little and checkout the garbage when it’s left open.  I like to bark at people when they come in the house. I settle down quickly, and then I’m very friendly. Sometimes I bark at the neighbors outside. I’m trying not to bark at people because I don’t want to scare them. I like everyone that I’ve met so far. I didn’t bark at anyone at the Vet, dog food store, doggie daycare or while I was out for a walk. 

After I came to live with my foster family I started to lick my paws and rub my face. The Vet is not sure if it is stress or if I have allergies.  The medication I’m taking is working, and I’m back to normal.  I’ll be taking it for 2 more weeks.  Then I’ll see how I do without it.
