We welcomed Mila into our foster home about 2 weeks ago.  Within a couple days she came out of her shell and has been romping around with her two foster brothers.  She has not been skittish with anyone who has come and gone from the house but will definitely let you know if there is anything going on outside.  Mila seems as though she might not have had a lot of exposure to different things.  We are slowly trying things out, and thus far everything has been a positive outcome!

Mila kennels well.  She has a great baseline of training and knows sit, down, and wait.  She needs some leash work.  Mila would benefit from some additional training classes that will also help create a great bond with her new family.

Mila loves to cuddle and be close to people.  She'll lay against your legs while you cook, wait outside the tub while you shower, and generally hang out while you take care of any other bathroom business.

Mila is just around 2 and still has puppy energy.  She will need exercise each day and would love doggy day care but may also have some potential as your running partner, flyball, or agility.  If nothing else, a couple good walks a day will make her happy.

Mila's dribbles have gotten better on medication; it just make take some time to for the medication to kick in!

Stay tuned for more on Mila!

Hello!  My name is Mila, and I am almost 2.  I wanted to let you know that I am here, but I am not ready to meet families yet.  I have a couple things I need to figure out first.

When I meet new people, usually a group, I am a bit standoffish with them.  I may even bark or growl.  But if you sit on the floor and let me come to you I will warm up and be okay (especially if you have a treat!).  My previous owners didn't say anything about this so I am probably just a bit scared and trying to act like a big, tough girl, but really I am a sweet girl who likes to play and go for walks (although I need leash work), get belly rubs and snuggle in bed.  I lived with kids in my previous home.  So I think I am just a bit confused and not showing my true self to people until I know them.

My other issue is that I dribble a bit when I sleep.  I am house-trained so I don't go potty just anywhere, but when I sleep I need to be on something you can wash or wear a diaper.  I went to the Vet, and they put me on some medicine so we will see if that helps.  If it does, then I will have to be on it for my whole life, but don't worry it isn't an expensive medication.

Keep me in mind if you are looking for a sweet girl who needs to learn a bit of self confidence (we should go to a class!) and are able to give me my medicine.  ~  Mila
