Hello! I wanted to give you a little update on me. I am doing really well and learning a lot. I like training class and meeting new people. Other dogs and I get along once they realize I am just a vocal guy and don't mean anything by sounding a bit gruff. I do have one "issue." I like my pereson a little too much. I focus on them and make them my world. You see, I lost my family and my brother recently. So I am scared that you will leave me too! I am the perfect guy as long as I am with you, but if you leave I get very upset and will try and get to you. (I recently set a new record and opened 3 doors to get outside to my person who was mowing the lawn.) Because of this I started some medicine to help me relax and learn to be by myself. I have done it before (I lived with a family who worked away from home), and I can do it again! I just need time to realize that you will come back. I don't think I will need my medicine forever if you are able to give me some time to learn that you'll be coming back. I am getting a dental cleaning and a couple teeth removed this week. After I have recovered from that I will be ready to start meeting families. Could that family be you??? ****************************************************************************** Hi There! My name is Hank, and I am about 6 years old. I am a pretty handsome guy who loves to be with my person. I love to play with balls (as long as I can be in water), but I am not very good at fetching at the moment. Maybe I will learn! I was surrendered to a shelter by my family. So I have been in a home and do pretty well with everyone, even a cat! I even let one come up and lick my nose and snuggle with me. I can be kind of vocal at times, especially when you first leave. I do a bit of whining and will try and get up to look out windows for you, but I am working on my confidence so that I don't have this issue going forward. I am new with LEARN and the Retrievers and Redemption Program, but I will be looking for a home soon. So keep me in mind if you are looking for a new family member.
