Cash also has hip dysplasia so he cannot jump off docks or jump for a Frisbee. He was brought to several surgeon and they all agreed that surgery was not the best option at this time. With proper nutrition and exercise he may never need surgery. He has full mobility of his hips and is not in pain. Due to his hip dysplasia he will need to be exercised everyday either by walks or swimming therapy and be kept on a grain free diet with supplements. His mobility has increased greatly with daily exercise and he loves doing it. Cash will give his forever family unconditional love and laughter for the rest of his life.

Hi everyone,
This is Sam. We took him in from a shelter last week. He spent a long day making the transport up to us. The volunteer who was helping with the transport called to let us know that he was very sick. She quickly got him to a ER vet. Sadly, he has Parvo and is fighting for his life right now. He has been at the emergency vet clinic since last Sat. getting IV fluids, meds to help with nausea and antibotics. Please say a prayer for Sad Sam and keep him in your thoughts.

I am a 5 1/2 year old girl. I was surrendered by my owner because I am no longer able to hunt due to an injury. I have torn tendons in my back knees. Despite that, I get around really well, and am going to have surgery next month to correct the problem. I love to play and run, so I can’t wait to get this over with. I am housebroken, settle well in the house, get along with other dogs and I am still trying to figure out the small animal my foster family calls a cat. I am crate trained, know my basic commands and just love to retrieve! I really like to have my belly rubbed and my ears scratched, too. I will send an update after my surgery, because I am really looking forward to meeting my new forever family as soon as possible.

UPDATE: I had my first knee surgery last week, and as you can see, I have a beautiful cast to wear! I am getting around really well, actually walking on that leg already. I am already scheduled to have my next knee surgery next month. Labby kisses to all.

L.E.A.R.N. is able to help Labradors and Laborador mixes with the help of our volunteers, foster homes and supporters. If you would like to help with Midnights care check out her Bones for Special Needs Lab page.
