Ringo![]() 3/17/08 |
Ringo is a 1 and a half year old male chocolate lab. Ringo is a big boy. He weighs 81 lbs. He is neutered and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. Ringo lives in a home with his mommy and daddy and two little boys ages 3 and 5. He is crate trained and has not had a potty accident in the house since we got him in february of '07. He has an excellent temperament and is very accustomed to being around small children who like to roll around with him. He likes to play catch although he is not always so good with return. Ringo is excellent when he is in the house, but still could use more training. He likes to take us for walks and is VERY strong!!!! Ringo is a chewer and likes to have a rawhide every night after dinner. As with most labs he likes to dig. He has a yard with a fence and is never allowed to roam free outside. He is very excitable around other dogs and loves other puppy company!!! We are looking for a new home for Ringo due to some behavioral issues with our son. He has been diagnosed with high functioning autism and his therapy schedule and attention needs at home are becoming more demanding that we thought they would be. As a result Ringo has not gotten the attention and time he deserves. We are looking for a family who has experience with labs and can give Ringo the same home environment we have given him with the abitilty to devote more time to puppy play and training. Thank you, |

Buddy is guessed to be 3-4 years old by a vet (he's prematurely grey). He is simply amazing and will make any home complete as he is just a sensitive, sweet boy! This is about the sweetest boy we have had in rescue! Buddy is great with other dogs, cats and children of all ages. We just ask that if you have young ones they are respectful to him. Buddy is housebroken and knows how to share his toys and food. Buddy is a total gem and we will never begin to know how anyone could just dump this guy! We do know that it is their loss and OUR gain! Buddy is NOW READY to go to his forever home! $200 adoption fee. Please e-mail for an application for adoption. We are NOT A SHELTER and each animal is seen by appointment only. Each animal is fostered in a home environment. Thank you! |

Zucko & Harley ![]() 2/25/08 |
Zucko, my 13 year old yellow lab is very laid back (he always has been - not because of his age). He is a big cuddler and LOVES to be pet. He has gotten along well with my other lab, but tends to do better with small dogs otherwise. He has never been around cats. He is great with my 2 year old daughter, even when she tries to climb on him. He doesn't bark at people walking by, but will bark at other dogs outside. Harley, my 7 year old lab mix is also a sweet dog, but still has a little more energy than my older lab. He will jump up when someone first comes to the house, but quickly calms down once they are inside for a few minutes. He gets along with my other lab and seems to do ok around most other dogs also. He has never been around cats. He is fine with my 2 year old, but got nervous when she first started walking, so in my opinion he would do better in a home with kids 5 and older. He has been my protector and will bark at people outside and will also bark at other dogs. Both dogs are up to date on their shots as of the end of December and tested negative for heartworm at the same time. They are both neutered. Both dogs just got over a bad case of kennel cough from when we had them boarded last, but have been healthy otherwise. Dogs are located in Joliet, IL. Contact: Michelle Maksim

Trueman![]() 2/15/08 |
Trueman is a 4 yr. old un-neutered AKC chocolate Lab. He was surrendered because he is jumpy toward people/neighbors that came by and the owners really did not train him to behave. He is not that bad. He is your typical happy go lucky Lab! His previous owners had children 6 yrs. and up, they say he gets along with other dogs and cats. He is not possessive in any way and weighs 70 lbs. If you are interested in Trueman, please contact Penny at... Thank you! Trueman looks forward to hearing from you soon! |

Izzabelle![]() 1/25/08 |
Izzabelle was found out near Debbie S. Doudican's house in the country by some neighbors. Debbie has fostered Izzabelle since December 27th and is desperately seeking a forever family for her, since she can no longer foster dogs anymore. Debbie just can't say enough good things about Izzabelle and goes on to say: "Izzabelle is a GREAT dog and goes on to say She is VERY loving and minds like you would not believe. Itake her out on our land for walks and she will do a little exploring but comes right back when I call. She goes to the door and sits when she needs to go out. She sleeps in her crate at night without a peep. I did catch her chewing on a couple things early on that she was not supposed to and just said a simple "No Izzy" and she has not touched those things again. I have two dogs myself and she gets along very well with them. She does know a few commands; "Come", "Sit" & we are working on down. I can't say enough on what a good girl this one is and I would love to find her really good home, she deserves it!" If you are interested in adopting Izzabelle, please contact: Debbie S. Doudican

Driver![]() 10/22/07 |
Yep, my foster family sure likes the GB Packers - that's how I got my name! Please take a minute to sit and read my story….you won't be able to help falling in love with me. One day Two Left Paws got a call from a vet hospital asking if they could help find me a good home. I showed up at the hospital one day because a nice lady took the time to stop and scoop me up from the middle of a rural road. It's assumed I was hit by a car and no one stopped to check on me for probably a day or so. Some of my injuries were already healing up when I finally got to the vet. Boy, was I happy to be somewhere safe. The vets got me settled and then set to work trying to find my owners. No one came. Luckily, the vets didn't give up and Two Left Paws had a very nice foster family that didn't hesitate to take me into their home. I made my way to Sheboygan and was so thrilled to see my new temporary home! It's warm and cozy, I have a doggy foster brother named Blue and a few kitties too And you should see the backyard! It's a dogs dream come true. All fenced in and large and all kinds of great smells and things to explore. I've settled in very quickly to my new digs. I absolutely love people and attention. It feels so good to be petted and played with. My secret obssession is tennis balls....there are just not enough tennis balls in the world as far as I'm concerned. Well, I suppose now is the time I should tell you what the docs have said about my injuries due to the assumed accident I was in. The scratches on my nose and face have all healed up and looking good. But, I guess I also injured my left front leg. I just don't understand why it doesn't work like it used to? The vets keep saying the words "nerve damage" - so I have to go look that up so I know what they are talking about! Well, the last doc I saw said that I already have some muscle atrophy (whew, that's a big word for me!) in my shoulder and the chances are that my leg will not get better. Everyone keeps telling me that in a few more weeks I have to go back to the hospital to have surgery to remove my bad leg. I guess that doesn't sound so bad....it really just keeps getting in my way right now. Please, don't think that having a bad leg or one less leg makes me any less of a dog. You should see me run in my great backyard chasing those tennis balls, you would honestly never ever ever know that I have any type of injury! And, one of the TLP volunteers has a doggie at home that has the same type of injury I have. They keep promising me that someday soon I get to go on a play date with her so we can get to know each other. That sounds really fun! If you are looking for a very sweet, medium sized, loving, goofy, fun boy, then you need to come and meet me. I don't think you'd be disappointed! Oh, I'll get my foster home to get some more pictures of me up soon. For mor information go to www.twoleftpaws.org and click our Adoption Process link. You can also email twoleft_paws@yahoo.com or call 920-331-0100

Three Black Lab Mixes ![]() 8/30/07 |
We are Shadowolf Rescue & Rehabilitation in West Tennessee. We were privately funded up until our benefactor passed away. We now must cease operations and still have several dogs at our facility that we need to urgently place. We have 3 black lab mixes( 1 female 2 males) that we need to find homes for. They are now about 5 months old and have had their Series 1,2, and 3 puppy shots. They are still too young to be neutered/ spayed although they are quite tall for their age. Arthur and Abigale are identical in looks and personality.....
