Dear L.E.A.R.N.,
We received our newest issue of The Retriever Newsletter and were we surprised to see our Lady on the second page! We adopted Lady in the beginning of 2008 when she was one years old. She’s come a long way in the past 2 years. So our family thought we would give an update « more on lady »

Georgia Peach

Just a quick update on what the beautiful Georgia Peach has been up to since her adoption in October. We had wanted a lab for quite some time but were a little reluctant to do the “puppy thing” again. Sam

Rylee

Hello LEARN friends!!
It’s been a few months since I found my forever home and I love it!! My Mom and Dad said I was a perfect fit right from the start. I now have 2 human brothers, a human sister, and one furry brother named Owen…he’s my buddy! There are also 2 indoor squirrels in « more on rylee »

Zander

My name is Zander but you may remember me better as Homer. I now live in Woodstock, IL and I am now six months old. I am getting to be a big boy now. I stand shoulder to shoulder with my 10 year old Lab sister (Alabama) who you met when she visited there when « more on zander »

Stanley (formerly Lou)

We adopted Stanley a little over 2 months ago from Learn and we are so very happy. “Lou” immediately became Stan and a happy energetic presence in our home. Buddy

Sadie (formerly Katie)

I wanted to send you an email with some updates on Sadie (previously known as Katie) and some pictures of her and her buddy Abby. Hi LEARN Friends!
I am doing very well at my new forever home with Mom and Dad and Mema and Raegan, but I miss Mike since he’s at school- whatever that is. I get along well with the two cats, Skootch and Snickers, and I like to watch the goldfish in the aquarium. That darn cockatiel « more on luke (formerly lenny) »

Payton and Tobi
We adopted Payton (FKA Minnow) in July 2007 and Tobi (FKA Montana) in August of 2008. When we adopted Payton, we had another black lab named Lady who passed away at the age of 5 from cancer in June 2008. Payton and Lady were best friends. She taught him everything from sitting for « more on payton and tobi »

We wanted to thank everyone at L.E.A.R.N., especially Lilah’s foster mom, for connecting us with such a wonderful companion. In September we lost our 11 year old black Lab, Lambo, to cancer, quite suddenly. We soon discovered that our house was quite empty without a dog in it. Mattie

Hi my name is Mattie,
I was adopted by my new parents in 2006 at the age of 7.  They kept my name as they thought I had it long enough and it suited me well.  My new parents originally wanted a yellow lab as they had a black lab named Shadow who died at the « more on mattie »

Cooper (formerly Koda)

Here is a story about a handsome guy that came into our family at the perfect time.  We had just lost our adopted love named Buddy (whom also was adopted from L.E.A.R.N back in 2001) back in July 2009 from lung tissue cancer, and then lost our 18 year old Beagle/Lab a few weeks ago.  « more on cooper (formerly koda) »

Toby (formerly Hank)

Hello everyone!
After 4 months with us, Toby has bonded to us as much as we have bonded to him.  He has made our home his home, and one would think that he has lived here all his life.  He is everything that we had hoped he would be.

Jake

Sorry we haven’t kept in touch better, but we wanted to let you know Jake is doing well and send you some pictures.  He’ll be two in a few weeks.  He’s a good boy.  He went to obedience class–he was the teacher’s favorite which is a good thing because if you saw the movie Marlee « more on jake »

Fee Bee

Fee Bee is a wonderful dog. She likes to run, jump, and play, but will snuggle with you to make you feel better when you are down. She is outgoing and lovable. I’m glad she’s now part of our family.
It was the Twenty Ninth of December 2008 and we were still heartbroken from the loss « more on fee bee »

Hulia

This Saturday celebrates Hulia’s first year with us.  So, we’ve decided it will be her birthday.   We are so blessed to have her.  She has turned into the sweetest, snuggliest dog.  She has settled in with our family completely and we trust her completely.  I wanted to thank everyone involved in LEARN again for this « more on hulia »

Flo (formerly Fiona)

Helllloooooo people, Flo here. I am almost 8 months old already! I am so thankful that L.E.A.R.N. helped me find my forever home. My adoptive parents just adore me and I love them right back! We live with the river in my back yard and boy am I having fun with that. I even learned « more on flo (formerly fiona) »

Lia Sophia

We wanted to thank everyone at LEARN for helping us adopt Lia Sophia.  She has been the perfect addition to our family.  She has the most beautiful brown eyes and such a sweet disposition.  Everyone who meets her loves her.  She has only been with us for a little over a week and she has « more on lia sophia »
