Hi it’s me, Jake. I am a three year old Laborador suffering with allergies.
I just wanted to stop by and let you know that the allergy shots are going pretty well. Today I had my last short-interval shot and now I get to try just doing it once every two weeks! Yippee! Not that I minded getting the shots, but they do make me pretty itchy that first day or two. Anyway, I am growing some hair back again and am a really happy boy.
Seems all those insecurities that I came to my foster home with have vanished. I have been super well behaved and have been meeting all kinds of creatures lately. We went to the pet store the other day and saw some kitties. I would still do best in a home without them, but am less “focused” which is a relief. There have even been some babies and toddlers here in the last few weeks. I did well with everyone. I am very gentle and let humans do just about anything to me. I even spent some time with some great girls last weekend and they taught me some new tricks. Now I know “turn around” which means spin in circles and I am trying to catch on to “roll over”. Learning is so much fun when there is a little bit of my food as a reward.
So, here comes the sappy part….. I really want a forever home. The people here have been really good to me, but I really just want my own forever family to love and cuddle with. Please know that even though you will need to keep up with my shots and such, I will give you the most gentle kisses and all kinds of sweetness. It really is my only wish. I hope to hear from you soon.

Merry Christmas!
Jake
From Jake’s foster family –
Jake really does rank in the top among our foster dogs. In the beginning it was hard, but now that most all of his allergies are under control, it is more just maintenance. Once you take a look at this sweet boy, you will fall in love. Everyone who meets him sure does. He really is the most gentle boy with the best heart. Won’t you consider him?
