I wanted to send you an email with some updates on Sadie (previously known as Katie) and some pictures of her and her buddy Abby. When we got Katie we changed her name to Sadie….we have some close friends named Katie and that might be an option for a future child’s name for us! Ha-ha! :) So we started calling her Sadie and she hasn’t had any problems with the change. We tried to pick a name that sounded as similar as possible so she’s been fine with it.

Sadie has been a GREAT addition to our family. She fit right in with us and our chocolate Lab, Abby. Abby is about 2 years old so she is a bit more playful and energetic then Sadie, but Sadie is totally patient with her and plays with her peacefully all the time. They love to wrestle and take the tennis balls away from each other. They seem to really love each other and haven’t had any quarrels except for the first day when there was a little “I’m the Boss!” happening. But we survived it with only a little scar! :)

The difference between the two dogs is so cute….Abby is our crazy, wild teenager, and we call Sadie our serious “old lady” with her gray hairs and big brown eyes. She has fallen right into the groove of curling up between me and my husband on the couch while Abby runs around with her toys. We really do love having our two girls together and don’t understand how she could be given up. Thank you so much for letting us have her!

I’ve attached a couple of pictures of Sadie….the first two are her in her bandana after a visit to the groomer. The second is with her best bud Abby (who doesn’t sit still for pictures very long). They are quite a pair!!
