Jake

Sorry we haven’t kept in touch better, but we wanted to let you know Jake is doing well and send you some pictures.  He’ll be two in a few weeks.  He’s a good boy.  He went to obedience class–he was the teacher’s favorite which is a good thing because if you saw the movie Marlee and me, Jake was Marlee, only the chocolate version.  He loves swimming at the lake and when completely wet, rolling in the dry beach sand.  He loves to chase ducks.  He listens very well when you call his name.  We play throw the tennis ball, or stuffed bunnie down the hall and he brings it back and drops it at your feet.  This game happens several times daily and lasts as long as we keep throwing the duck, or ball or whatever toy he happens to pick. He likes to play throw the tennis ball in the lake and he swims for it and brings it back.  He is a complete bed hog and loves to give kisses.   We lost our black lab Madison back in May.  It was horrible and I cried daily for at least a week.  I still do when people talk about her, but having Jake has certainly helped us get through that.

Thanks again for picking our family for Jake.  He has become a great member of our family and we can’t imagine not having him!
