Hi LEARN Friends!
I am doing very well at my new forever home with Mom and Dad and Mema and Raegan, but I miss Mike since he’s at school- whatever that is. I get along well with the two cats, Skootch and Snickers, and I like to watch the goldfish in the aquarium. That darn cockatiel is just plain noisy.
I’m learning to be obedient, as much as I’d rather do my own thing. I know what are my toys and what are human toys, I sit and give paw– sometimes both, I know down and stay, I take my cookies very nicely and let Mema walk first so I don’t bump her. My mom says when a human is 88, she can get hurt if bumped. I love my crate with its nice soft blankets; sometimes I just go in there to sleep when I feel like it. At night, I go in my bed in Mom’s room and wait until she tucks in my blanket before I go to sleep.
Most of the time I behave really well. When I goof up, I learn pretty quickly. Like, I learned if I roll in goose poop, I have to go in the big bathtub and get washed three times. That was not fun!
My brother Raegan and I go outside a lot since we have two whole acres to ourselves and a hidden fence-thing that buzzes if we try to get out. Raegan loves to chase and fetch a ball, but mostly I like to chase the ball and then carry it around in my mouth while chasing Raegan. We both get pooped out and then get a yummy cookie when we come in.
I hate, hate, hate that leash thing and especially any collar with the leash. Mom says I have to go to school (there’s that word again) to learn to walk on the leash or I can’t go to therapy dog training. Mom says I would be a great therapy dog– if that means more cookies, I’m for it!
Thanks so much for rescuing me and helping me find this great home. I’m a very, very happy dog. I love my family, and my family loves me.
~Love, Luke
