Payton and Tobi
We adopted Payton (FKA Minnow) in July 2007 and Tobi (FKA Montana) in August of 2008. When we adopted Payton, we had another black lab named Lady who passed away at the age of 5 from cancer in June 2008. Payton and Lady were best friends. She taught him everything from sitting for treats to protecting the house from strangers. When she passed away, my husband and I were beyond heartbroken. We noticed Payton also seemed to be very depressed, not eating, looking out the window all day for her, etc. We were not sure if we were ready for another dog, but when we saw Montana’s picture, we thought we had to at least meet her.

It was love at first sight. She and Payton started playing right away and we knew it was the right thing to do. They now play constantly with each other and us. Tobi follows Payton around everywhere he goes. He has gone from the follower of our beloved Lady to the leader of the house! They both have a ton of energy and are both very affectionate dogs. We can not imagine life without them. They have both added so much to our family, we can’t thank LEARN enough for all they do. Thanks so much to both of their foster families for providing them such loving homes.
