Here is a story about a handsome guy that came into our family at the perfect time.  We had just lost our adopted love named Buddy (whom also was adopted from L.E.A.R.N back in 2001) back in July 2009 from lung tissue cancer, and then lost our 18 year old Beagle/Lab a few weeks ago.  We were checking the website here and there for a male lab around one when there he was this handsome guy 10 months old and his name was Koda.  My husband e-mailed LEARN right away and the next day we got a phone call from Koda’s foster parents Mike and Michelle, we scheduled a day to go and see him and 24 hrs later there was our Christmas present to each other.

When we pulled up to Koda’s foster home Ron got out of the car and Mike brought Koda out Ron then knelt down and Koda ran to him rapped his paws around his neck and kissed him as if he had known him all his life I knew right then and there he was going to come home with us if at all possible, we took Koda for a little walk and when we returned said we would love to have this guy in our families life we miss so much having a pup running around, he reminded us so much of our Buddy that we cried when we got in the car to return home and could not wait to tell the rest of our family we had someone coming home soon.  Now that Coop is home with us we realize he has some of our Buddy and Lady in him and now we can start new memories with this handsome guy, he is going to be very spoiled and we think he already knows that and slow but sure family members are starting to come and see the new member to our family, Thank you Mike and Michelle and L.E.A.R.N for making this happen for us and for giving us this special gift…He will be very well taken care of and we cannot wait to introduce him to his new vet since we have had a hard year at the vet and now we have something to smile about.
