Hi to all at L.E.A.R.N.!
I am sorry that it has taken me so long to write, but with the holidays and having to get all these people in shape, I have been busy. Anyhow, just wanted to let all of you know that I have landed in a loving, caring, if not a little nutty home, and think all is great. I loved my foster family, but my forever home is great. My foster family was wonderful and I want to say thank you so much for all that they did for me with by taking me in and helping me find my forever home.
It was quite a long ride to my new home, but it went okay. I got to know my new big sister (I’m already bigger than her, but most girls don’t like the “older” sister bit) and we get along pretty good. Her name is Lucy and I found out that she was adopted through L.E.A.R.N. too! She took a little time getting used to playing my way. But we nap together and play outside and love to play fetch/ fight to see which one of us is faster. So far she is and she can jump really high, but I can hold my own. The picture is of us is in our backyard. We both love the snow! It is SO COOL!!! I have a great new bed with a real comfy mattress with my own bone that I don’t have to share with Lucy.
My new human siblings are pretty cool, too. One of my brothers loves to wrestle with me all the time and it is great fun. My other brother sneaks me treats and is trying to teach me some tricks. My human sister doesn’t live here with us, but she is nice even though she smells like another dog that I have not met yet. I love, love, love my dad. I never let him out of my sight when he is home. I go everywhere with him. I love my mom, too. She is getting to be more fun now that the cast has come off of her leg.
I have already gone on too long. I am just happy as can be in my home. I play and sleep and watch Cesar and others on Animal Planet (my favorite channel). I know how to ask to go out and have only had two accidents in the first week I was here. Dad is trying to teach me to shake hands (Lucy is such a show off…) and I think that I might want to try to learn to sit “pretty”, whatever that is… I’m sure I’ll be doing all that and more any day now. My mom says that we all just wanted to say thank you to all of you at L.E.A.R.N. She thought you would like to know that my number was 2058 and that Lucy came to them as Gemini and her number was 543. She came to them from a family in Wisconsin, too.
Hope you all have a happy NEW YEAR!!!
