Hello!
My name is Willy.
I was found as a stray and taken to the Humane Society where they have really nice people and GREAT food. I’m a bit on the skinny side but my new diet and exercise program are going to make me into a lean, mean, playing machine. I love to give kisses, am full of energy, love to play, am great with my new foster brother/sister & cats, do not jump on people, and prefer to be with my human friends at all times. I will go into my crate willingly but it is not my favorite spot. I am great on the leash and went for a 3 mile hike in the woods off leash. I love to run and play in the yard and have shown no signs of desiring to skip.
I have no fear of the vacuum, the 4-wheelers, the horses, the chickens or load noises. I love to bark at my reflection in the patio window which causes everyone to laugh for some reason. I have no idea where that dog outside goes when they turn on the outside lights!!!! There is much about the world that I don’t know about, for example, this morning, there was this wonderful thing called a shower where water ran out all over the floor, what an amazing invention! I know how to sit and lie down, but I must admit to being a counter-surfer, rushing through doors and up/down stairs, barking in the kennel when first left alone, and not settling quickly in the house, though I do eventually pass out!
I have a fear of people’s hands moving too quickly near my head but my foster mommy is helping me with that and my manners. My foster mom says once I get up to my correct weight, I will probably be about 75-80 pounds and be a medium-high energy dog. Age has been a tricky one. Most think I am young like 2 or 3 years old. The Humane Society thought I could be as old as 6 years old. My foster mommy says I act too puppyish to be 6 years old.
