Adoption Pending

Hi, Monty here,

I am a very happy dog because you see I was found wandering in a farmer’s field in the cold days of December and I am blind so it was pretty scary. When my time was up at the shelter LEARN took me in and I am now in a nice warm home.

To top it all off I am strong heart worm positive but I have made it though my first treatment without much trouble. I have two more to go and then I have to be fixed. I am not sure what that means because I am not broken but my foster Mom says it will be OK.

Even though the vet thinks I am somewhere between 5 – 8 years old I have cataracts so after my other treatments I will have them checked to see what can be done. If nothing can be done that is OK too because blind dogs see with their heart and are worth loving. That is for sure!

I know how to sit and lay down and have learned step up, step down and do stop pretty well if my foster Mom tells me in time. I am working on turn left and turn right. I move kind of slow and pick my front feet us as I walk. My foster Mon tells me I am very smart and I am learning my way around the house and yard. I LOVE to be touched, petted and talked to because then I know where you are. I am looking for a forever home with someone who just wants a companion, a friend and I am a very good listener too. I am a very sweet and happy boy who is just looking for someone to love and let me be on the couch and maybe even on the bed with them at night.

If you’d like to adopt me, please complete and submit an adoption application or contact LEARN for more information.
