Hi all,
I found my forever family and it turned out to be the very family I was staying with. My foster family is now my forever family and I am very happy.

I thought I would give you a quick update. I have completed my heartworm treatments with flying colors – and as you can see I am ready to party.
I love to play and no gate or fence is going to stop me. (my rear end might – but not a gate or fence)! Now that I am all better I really would love to find a forever family of my very own.
If you’d like to adopt me, please complete and submit an adoption application or contact LEARN for more information.

My name is Jack. Jack the dog.
From the song the “Weight” from the Band.
I was found as a stray and brought to a local humane shelter where a very caring volunteer called LEARN when my time was up. See I have heartworm (I know bummer for me). However I found my way into this volunteers heart and she offered LEARN a donation if they would help me. I guess it was my ever wagging tail and dog kisses that won her over.
LEARN took me in where my Foster parents then discovered that I had a Mast Tumor – which has been removed and my outlook looks great. Now I will begin my heartworm treatment in early March.
I am glad LEARN took me in – I have a foster brother now that I get along with great. We love to play but I have to be careful because I can overdo it and I have arthritis in my back side which makes me limp a bit. But it does not slow me down I love to go for walks and sometimes my foster mom and I go for a run and I say right by her. She sure is fun.
I am a very good sweet dog that has a sense of adventure. Sometimes when I get to sniffing I forget to come home. That’s why I am going to need a fenced in yard.
